Program Objective:  Participants take an in-depth study of the industry key charter party clause interpretation, actual case studies, arbitration rulings and awards, and parallel contracts, i.e. purchase and sale agreements.  This session will most benefit anyone already familiar with the fundamentals of contracts and demurrage.

COURSE FORMAT

All courses use a combination of lectures, audio visual presentations, hands on use of equipment (where applicable), problem solving discussion and daily summary and question and answer sessions.  The Charter Parties, Laytime and Demurrage and Advanced Tanker Operations courses include mock arbitrations of actual demurrage and tanker operations cases respectively.  

 

MATERIALS

Participants receive original reference books, pertinent industry publications, papers and other handouts. A course certificate is awarded to all those successfully completing the program.

 

FEES

The base fee for each course is US$1,335 if paid before the start of the session, or US$1,440 if paid on the first day.  A special “early fee” of US$1,235 is available if payment is received at least 21 days prior to commencement of the program.  Group and multiple course discounts may also be available.
